Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Concord. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Concord is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Concord is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The Chocolatier is easily a five-star spot and one of the places that truly makes downtown Concord special. If you’re looking for the best chocolates around, this is it. Their chocolates are absolutely incredible. Even something as simple as their salted caramel pieces is done at such a high level—it’s rich, balanced, and honestly hard to beat. You can tell right away that real skill and craftsmanship go into everything they make. Beyond the chocolates, their food is surprisingly great too. The croissant sandwiches are a standout—fresh, flavorful, and very affordable, usually around $5. It’s a perfect quick bite if you’re stopping in. They offer a variety of desserts, all done well, but what truly sets them apart is their chocolate. It’s exactly what you’d hope for from a true chocolatier—refined, high-quality, and made by people who clearly know their craft. On top of that, the owners are knowledgeable and professionally trained, which shows in every detail. Overall, this is a must-visit spot in downtown Concord. Highly, highly recommended.

The atmosphere here is amazing. It really feels like you just stepped into a luxurious French bakery. The staff was very helpful and super nice. They had a huge variety of options to choose from and if you're not in the mode for sweets they have sandwiches as well. My daughter absolutely loved the experience. We will be back for certain.

Interesting addition to Concord on the renovated street. Staff was friendly and selection is decent. Prices are what I'd expect from such a place and we've been to many in the US. Basic chocolate is good, but we were very disappointed in their flavored confections. IE, mint had hardly any mint flavor and their 'alcohol' chocolates were almost impossible to tell what was in them. The concept is nice, but the execution needs some work. If this is the only chocolate confectionary you go to, then you will probably be satisifed, but...

We purchased handmade chocolate Christmas trees from this local chocolatier as Thanksgiving gifts for our family, and they were a huge hit! The craftsmanship was beautiful—each tree looked almost too good to eat—and the chocolate itself was absolutely delicious: rich, smooth, and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Everyone loved receiving something so festive, especially so early in the holiday season. It felt great to support a local business and give gifts that were both unique and memorable. The customer service was excellent and we’ll definitely be back for more chocolates and seasonal treats—highly recommend!
